i've had trouble sleeping for a long time, but it's finally gotten to the point where i'm actually afraid of falling asleep because i can feel myself shutting down and then i wake up panicking. i don't know what to do. i've tried sleeping pills, tea, routines, changing my diet, exercising, southing music; different levels of light/sound. you name it. and i just can't fall asleep. i'm afraid of the feeling.
